SJIK Offer Blueprint ("SJIK", "we", "us") is operated as a sole trader service. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data submitted through startupijik.com in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. Open and transparent management of personal information (APP 1)
We are committed to managing personal information openly and transparently. This policy sets out our approach to the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of your personal information. We will update this policy when our practices change and will notify you of material changes by updating the date above.
2. Collection of personal information (APP 3)
We collect only the information you provide when submitting a form on this site. This may include:
- Name and email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Your right to work in Australia (citizen, permanent resident, employer-sponsored, or working holiday)
- State or territory of employment
- Details about your startup equity offer (equity type, funding stage, vesting schedule, variable compensation)
- Your signing deadline and relocation plans
- Free-text descriptions of your situation and concerns
We do not collect payment card data directly. Payments are processed by Stripe, which has its own privacy policy. We collect personal information only by lawful and fair means, and only if it is reasonably necessary for our functions and activities.
3. Notification of collection (APP 5)
At or before the time of collection, we notify you of: who we are, the purposes for which we collect your information, any third parties to whom we may disclose it, your right to access and correct it, and how to contact us. This policy serves as that notification. Where we collect information indirectly (e.g. via Netlify form submissions), we take reasonable steps to ensure you are aware of this policy.
4. Use and disclosure of personal information (APP 6)
We use the information you submit solely to:
- Prepare and deliver your risk screener response, Offer Blueprint, or negotiation coaching engagement
- Reply to your enquiry via email or WhatsApp (if you provide a phone number)
- Send your PDF analysis and session notes
- Follow up on open questions related to your engagement
We do not use your data for automated decision-making, profiling, or marketing without your explicit consent. We will not disclose your personal information for a purpose other than the primary purpose of collection unless you have consented, or disclosure is required or authorised by law.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except:
- Netlify — our hosting provider, which stores form submissions on our behalf. Netlify's data processing is covered by their Data Processing Agreement.
- Stripe — payment processing. We share only what Stripe requires to process your payment.
- Calendly — call booking for fit calls and coaching sessions. Name and email are passed to Calendly to create your booking.
- GoatCounter — privacy-friendly, cookieless page-view counting. It records aggregate visit counts and referrers only; no personal information, no cookies, no cross-site tracking.
- Google Workspace — we may store your enquiry details in a Google Sheet for internal case management.
All third parties are instructed to process your data only as necessary to provide the relevant service. Where we disclose personal information to overseas recipients (e.g. Netlify and Stripe operate servers outside Australia), we take reasonable steps to ensure those recipients handle your information consistently with the APPs.
5. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to deliver the service you requested and for a period of up to 24 months thereafter in case of follow-up enquiries. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).
6. Security of personal information (APP 11)
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Form submissions are stored in Netlify's secure infrastructure. We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. When we no longer require your personal information, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
7. Access and correction (APP 12)
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, or misleading personal information
- Withdraw consent and request deletion of your data
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au if you believe we have breached the APPs
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@startupijik.com. We will respond within 30 days as required under the Privacy Act.
8. Cookies
This site does not use tracking cookies. We use GoatCounter for cookieless, aggregate page-view statistics (no personal data is collected or stored). Netlify may set a session cookie for form submission security purposes only.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
